Doubling Thermal Printer Resolution by Wiggling

The Sears 12 calculator doubles its thermal print head resolution by wiggling elements side-to-side, saving about half the driving circuitry. A Mitsubishi M58671 IC powers the mechanism. Compared to the Texas Instruments TI-5015, the cheaper Sears 12 prints competitively, though timing drifts cause slightly wavy output after long sessions.
