Li Auto solid-state batteries face long road to mass production

Li Auto expects solid-state batteries ready for limited vehicle deployment in 2027 or 2028, according to a company insider cited by Cailian. Senior director Liu Zhimin says mature automotive mass production is still five years away, with lifespan, charging performance and cost unresolved. The company has validated prototypes in eyewear products and is expanding in-house battery development.
