Saudi Engineer Arrested for Bugging OpenAI

Federal prosecutors arrested Abdulrahman Alfozan, a 35-year-old Saudi national and OpenAI engineer, on suspicion of hiding an audio recorder in an executive conference room. OpenAI personnel discovered the device, concealed in toilet paper and plugged into a TV, on Sept. 30. Alfozan faces up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine if convicted.
