FAA clears pilotless cargo flights from Louisiana airport

Elroy Air's Chaparral completed first uncrewed autonomous flights from Houma-Terrebonne Airport under the FAA's eVTOL Integration Pilot Program. The hybrid-electric aircraft carries over 500lb of cargo, flies 450 miles, and was handled by air traffic control alongside other traffic. Partners included Bristow Group and LIFTOFF Louisiana.
