AI disclosures hurt Steam game sales, study finds

A study by Game Oracle's Ross Burton found that 21% of games on Steam in 2025 contained AI disclosures. Games with AI disclosures averaged 8.2 reviews, compared to 46.1 for games without. The research analyzed nearly 1,000 games and used review counts as a proxy for sales.
