Meta confirmed hackers exploited a bug in its AI support chatbot to hijack over 20,225 Instagram accounts. The bug let attackers request password resets by providing an unassociated email, bypassing two-factor authentication. The exploit hit high-profile accounts including Barack Obama's and was active from May 31 to June 1.
