Microsoft launches Copilot Cowork for complex tasks

Microsoft made Copilot Cowork generally available, an agentic system that executes multi-step workflows instead of just answering questions. Over half the Fortune 500 already use it after a three-month preview. The system runs on Anthropic's Opus 4.8 and Sonnet 4.6 models, with an in-house Cowork 1 model arriving soon.
