MEA launches Instagram fact-check account

The Ministry of External Affairs launched the @meafactcheck Instagram account to counter misinformation. The move follows a viral post falsely attributing remarks on foreign funding of CJP-led protests to spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal. The account has published one fact check so far.
