Google added an AI feature to Google Earth's web version that creates satellite imagery from text prompts, powered by the Nano Banana model. OSINT researcher Henk van Ess generated fake refugees, a nuclear plant in Iran, and a Gaza bomb crater. Google says SynthID watermarks mark every image.
