Peru's Economic Model at Stake in Tight Runoff

Peruvians vote Sunday in a presidential runoff between Keiko Fujimori, a conservative seen as the guarantor of Peru's market-friendly economic model, and leftist lawmaker Roberto Sánchez, who wants to overhaul the constitution to redistribute mining wealth. Fujimori leads with 38% to Sánchez's 35% in an Ipsos survey. The ballot is a rematch of 2021, which Fujimori lost by about 40,000 votes.
