Sony emailed PlayStation users full terms stating software is licensed, not sold, days before the #PSBlackout boycott from 23rd to 30th August. The fan group DoesItPlay organized the protest against Sony ending new PlayStation discs from 2028. Sony CFO Lin Tao cited digitalization as the reason.
