Activist Vizguerra Detained by ICE in 2025

Immigrant rights activist Jeanette Vizguerra was arrested by ICE in 2025 and sent to a detention center in Aurora, Colorado. Her daughter stated the arrest occurred while Vizguerra was working at Target. The detention prompted immediate protests outside the facility and a legal petition for her release. Vizguerra had previously sought sanctuary in a Denver church to avoid deportation.
