Finland Pilots Hybrid Heavy Trucks in 2026

In late 2026, a pilot project led by VTT Technical Research Center of Finland begins testing a hybrid truck combining electric mobility and hydrogen fuel cells. The SISU Escalate truck, manufactured by Sisu Auto, runs primarily on electricity with a 650 kWh battery and a 120 kW fuel cell.
