CATL Begins 20 Ah Solid-State Battery Trials

CATL advances solid-state EV battery development to 20 Ah trial production with a target energy density of 500 Wh/kg. The company plans to begin small-scale production in 2027 and scale to mass production around 2030, using a sulfide-based solid electrolyte system.
