macOS 27 Breaks CoreStorage Support
5 min read
macOS 27 Golden Gate fails to mount, convert, or erase CoreStorage encrypted volumes, rendering expensive hardware useless. The system displays a misleading dialog claiming macOS 28 will drop support. Users face read-only access or resource busy errors, forcing data loss or complex workarounds involving third-party tools like Gemini 4 Argon.
