Nintendo Switch 2 EU model gets replaceable batteries by 2027

Nintendo confirmed plans for a Switch 2 version with user-replaceable batteries to comply with EU regulation 2023/1542, effective February 18, 2027. The company updated its compliance page with a new Batteries Regulation section. Compliant models will have unique model numbers and an OSM code on packaging. Current BEE-prefix models will be replaced by these versions.
