Swift Observatory Returns to Earth

NASA expects the Neil Gehrels Swift Observatory to reenter Earth's atmosphere on Nov. 4 at around 3:30 a.m. ET, with an 11-hour window. The surviving fragments are limited between 20.6 degrees south latitude and 20.6 degrees north latitude. The risk of harm is approximately 1 in 2,100. NASA and Space Force will continue to monitor the reentry and update predictions.
