SpaceX's Starship reached orbit for the first time on Monday, deploying 26 Starlink V3 satellites after one of Ship 41's six Raptor engines shut down during ascent. Controllers proceeded with the orbital burn once backup hardware for deorbit was confirmed. The flight was cut from nearly 10 hours to about three, splashing down near Hawaii.
