AI face detection training boosts accuracy to 80%

Researchers from the University of Aberdeen and Australia's National University found that structured training improved participants' ability to spot AI-generated faces from 40% to nearly 80% accuracy. Training focused on six perceptual qualities like perfect symmetry and limited emotional expression. Deepfake fraud losses in the US could reach £40 billion next year.
