Google Photos adds shimmer off switch

Google Photos is adding a toggle to disable the shimmering effect that appears on images to prompt sticker creation. The feature, introduced last year on iOS and in February on Android, has drawn complaints from users who find it distracting or nauseating. The toggle appears in version 7.82.
