Apple is preparing an M5 Ultra Mac Studio for release this year, with an M7 Ultra model and improved cooling planned for 2028. The current Mac Studio, released in early 2025, uses M4 Max and M3 Ultra chips. The M5 refresh will be a chip-only upgrade with no design overhaul.
