Researchers at the Chinese Academy of Sciences developed a 250-kilowatt system that co-produces hydrogen and fresh water from seawater. The scaled-up unit achieved 48 Nm3 h, 1 H2 and 31.6 kg h, 1 fresh water, showing a 14.4% improvement in electrical efficiency compared to traditional methods.
