China plans to restrict or ban exports of 40 technologies spanning artificial intelligence, chips and solar power. The Ministry of Commerce and Ministry of Science and Technology jointly published a draft document on Friday. A spokesperson cited national security as a reason for the move as the technology race with the United States intensifies.
