Samsung appliance workers rally over chip bonuses

Samsung's Device eXperience division workers plan a rally on July 16 at the Suwon headquarters to protest bonuses paid to chip staff. Semiconductor workers can receive up to 600 million won in 2026 bonuses, while appliance workers get about 6 million won. The chip division secured a binding profit-share agreement of roughly 10.5 percent of operating profit.
