Marathon director Joe Ziegler leaves Bungie

Joe Ziegler, game director on Marathon, departed Bungie after three and a half years. Ziegler passed the director role to Del Chafe III and Julia Nardin. The exit follows Bungie's recent layoffs of at least 292 employees, including Marathon developers, and a $200m wrongful dismissal suit from ex-Marathon director Christopher Barrett.
