Vercel Labs Open-Sources Zig Coding Agent fx

Vercel Labs released fx, an experimental coding agent written in Zig, as open source in August 2026. The 6.3 MiB binary features a 10-microsecond cold start and supports multiple providers including OpenAI, ChatGPT, Grok, Ollama and OpenRouter. Version 0.0.13 added an Ultrafast mode on October 4 for supported models.
