Andreessen Horowitz is investing $35 million in a San Francisco two-year alternative to traditional college for students ages 16 to 22. Named the Horowitz Andreessen Academy, it will run as an independent business led by Gagan Biyani, co-founder of ed-tech platform Udemy. The school targets unaccredited students, challenging conventional higher education.
