NYC Congestion Pricing: First Year Results

New York's congestion pricing program, which began charging drivers to enter Manhattan below 60th Street on January 5, 2025, resulted in 27 million fewer vehicles entering the zone over its first year. Daily traffic decreased by 11 percent, and bus speeds within the zone increased by 2.3 percent. The program generated $518 million in net tolling revenue through November 2025.
