The FCC approved SpaceX to deploy 15,000 direct-to-device satellites by October 7, 2035. The authorization covers nine orbital shells between 326 and 335 kilometers altitude. SpaceX must launch 50% of the constellation by October 7, 2032. The order allows speeds up to 150 Mbit/s for V2 satellites. This decision follows objections from Eutelsat, Viasat, DirecTV and SES.
