Slack conducted a third-party VPAT in 2024 after a major UI change, finding Android accessibility issues. The team fixed shovel-ready problems like color contrast and missing image labels. Remaining issues, including TalkBack not announcing errors, were triaged and resolved by modifying OutlinedTextField and SKBanner components.
