Diablo 5 Set in Fallen Sanctuary

Diablo 5 developers confirmed at BlizzCon 2026 that the game's world, Sanctuary, has been overrun by hell. Game director Joe Shely stated it has become an 'outpost of hell' where humanity has fallen into ruin, with most humans corrupted or killed. The game is scheduled for release in Spring 2029.
