Meta makes Muse Spark 1.1 available to consumers, debuts new Facebook features

Meta Platforms Inc. today made its latest large language model available to consumers through its Meta AI chatbot. The update is rolling out alongside several enhancements to Facebook. Meta's flagship social network is receiving a new video-based account verification tool. Additionally, users can now access the Facebook Marketplace e-commerce platform through a mobile app. Meta AI is a free AI service with a similar feature set to ChatGPT. Today's update switched the chatbot to Muse Spark 1.1, an LLM that Meta introduced earlier this month.
