AMD revealed the MI455X GPU, a 320-billion-transistor chip built with chiplets on TSMC 2N and N3P processes, and the Helios rack-scale architecture that links 72 GPUs. The MI455X uses HBM4 memory, a 32-wide wavefront, and offers up to 4X faster MXFP8/MXFP4 performance over the MI355X. AMD announced deals with Microsoft and Anthropic.
