QuasarZone tested the GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition running Cyberpunk 2077 at 4K with DLSS 5 enabled. Power draw hit 646.7W and the 16-pin connector reached 91.7 degrees Celsius, hotter than the GPU die. A simulated loose pin pushed current to 10.1A, above the 9.2A PCI-SIG limit, echoing melting reports.
