Artemis 2 Orion Heat Shield Passes Crewed Test

NASA's Artemis 2 mission launched April 1 from Kennedy Space Center, carrying four astronauts around the Moon and back. Orion's redesigned reentry profile limited heat shield charring to about nine sites, down from over 100 after Artemis 1. All four crew members returned healthy, validating the spacecraft for future lunar landing missions.
