42% of British adults want to eliminate generative AI

42% of British adults say they would eliminate generative AI entirely if given the choice. Among 18-24 year olds, 55% express the same desire. A fifth are undecided about liking the technology. Younger users show stronger opposition despite being active adopters. Public concern over job replacement fuels skepticism.
