Mid and smallcaps hit records, market lags

The Nifty Midcap 150 hit a record high last week, and the Smallcap 250 neared its peak. The BSE Advance to Decline ratio hovered around 1 in July, matching May and June levels, after jumping to 2.1 earlier. Gainers and losers were nearly evenly matched daily.
