Canada's Communications Security Establishment (CSE) disclosed in its annual report that it conducted three foreign active cyber operations last year. The operations targeted drug traffickers brokering fentanyl chemicals, an extremist group spreading violent ideology, and a ransomware-as-a-service gang. The CSE also disrupted 10 additional ransomware gangs targeting Canada.
