Rethinking MDR as Attackers and Defenders Embrace AI

Managed detection and response (MDR) is no longer sufficient against AI-powered attacks. Attackers use AI for faster phishing, reconnaissance, and malware variants. Analysis of 25 million alerts found nearly 1% of real threats originate in low-severity alerts. Approximately 60% of alerts go unreviewed, leaving roughly 54 incidents per year hidden in the backlog.
