KDDI disclosed a cyberattack that exposed 12.2 million customer email addresses and 7.6 million passwords. Attackers exploited a third-party software vulnerability in an email platform for five Japanese ISPs. KDDI patched the flaw and found no evidence of further compromise. Consumer mobile and fixed-line services were not affected.
