Meta Unveils VR Glasses for Spring 2027 Launch

Meta announced its new VR Glasses at Meta Connect, set to launch in Spring 2027 at $1,299. The headset weighs around 100g, uses a pocket puck for compute, supports hand tracking and up to six virtual monitors, and can turn any surface into a virtual keyboard. It runs Quest 3 apps and offers 5K micro-OLED display with 37 PPD resolution, matching Apple Vision Pro and Samsung Galaxy XR estimates. Prescription inserts are supported magnetically. Disney Plus 3D content will be available on the device. The device is positioned as a lightweight, portable productivity and entertainment tool.
