The New South Wales government allocated $6.5bn AUD over ten years to purchase 1,700 electric buses and build 17 charging depots. The funding expands the state's Zero Emission Buses scheme, which targets transitioning over 8,000 diesel buses to zero-emission technology. Sydney's Brookvale depot recently installed Australia's first Kempower pantograph chargers.
