Apple will upgrade high-end 2028 iPhones to 1.4nm A22 Pro chips, moving from 2nm chips used in 2026 and 2027 models. TSMC will make most chips, but Apple may also use Intel. The 1.4nm node offers up to 15% better performance or 30% power savings over 2nm.
