Researchers tested 444 AI chatbot apps for iPhone and found 282 exposed paid AI access through network traffic. Plaintext API keys, reusable tokens, or backend servers with no key were visible. Three months after notification, only 28% of developers fixed the issue. The leaks span at least ten AI providers, with OpenAI the most common.
