D-Link Warns of Unpatched DIR-822A Router Flaw

D-Link warned that legacy DIR-822A routers carry a maximum-severity zero-day, CVE-2026-86296, a stack-based buffer overflow in the DHCP server exploitable without authentication by anyone on the same local network. Public proof-of-concept code exists and no patch is available. D-Link is also investigating a second critical flaw, CVE-2026-86510, in the L2TP parser.
