A new preprint uploaded to bioRxiv, not yet peer-reviewed, reports that transplanted hearts adopt the biological age of their new owner. Older hearts placed into younger recipients appear to become biologically younger, suggesting cardiac aging may be reversible and not fixed to the original body.
