UC Berkeley math professor Zvezdelina Stankova admitted using AI to help edit her San Francisco Standard op-ed claiming students are "five to eight years" behind. AI-detection software Pangram flagged 33% of the piece as AI-assisted. Stankova said the article involved "several hundred person-hours" of human work.
