OpenAI and Anthropic each released cheaper AI models on Tuesday. OpenAI's GPT-6 Sol and Luna cut API prices 50% versus GPT-5.6 promotional pricing, while Anthropic's Claude Opus 5.5 costs about 40% less to run than Opus 5.
