GM Reboots OnStar as Personal AI Assistant

General Motors announced on Wednesday in New York City that it will reboot its OnStar service into a personal AI assistant launching first in the 2027 Cadillac Lyriq. The company plans to kill off standalone Chevrolet, GMC, Cadillac, and Buick apps while retaining human support for existing users of the 30-year-old service with over 12 million subscribers.
