Ericsson Pushes Component Manufacturing in India

Ericsson CEO Andres Vicente states the company collaborates with the Indian government to encourage suppliers to establish manufacturing bases for local value addition. The firm exports over 15,000 antennas and 9 million components from India to Europe. Ericsson spends more than 20% of its revenue on research and development, with over 200 professionals working in Bengaluru on ASIC design.
